An extensively annotated extra-illustrated work in two volumes: a chemist's working copy of a significant treatise on the development of chemical procedures of dyeing textiles. Volume 1 contains 544 pages with 39 textile samples; volume 2 contains 646 pages with one folded engraving, illustrations, and 34 textile samples. Both volumes contain annotations on separate sheets, with some intertextual annotations as well. In addition, there are twelve cloth samples of indigo dyeing, with detailed manuscript notes on the samples, which are unique to this copy of the work by Schützenberger. The volumes are bound with contemporary calf spines, marbled paper boards; there is some foxing and slight staining on a small number of pages.

Glen Canyon rafting trip manuscript

This manuscript, a mimeographed copy, provides a detailed account of a recreational raft trip through Glen Canyon on the Colorado River, in Utah, during the summer of 1958. The anonymous author describes the river, the scenery, the behavior of and interactions of the members of the excursion and their enjoyment of the adventure. There is a full-page map of their route and two pages of illustrations. The last six pages lists the 36 participants of the trip.

Rage in heaven : screenplay and ephemera

A mimeographed screenplay with paper covers and autograph notes and additions; co-written by Christopher Isherwood and Robert Thoeren. "Rage in Heaven" was a noirish psychological thriller based on a novel by James Hilton (published in 1932), starring Robert Montgomery, Ingrid Bergman, and George Sanders. The film was directed by W.S. Van Dyke after the original director, Robert Sinclair, quit. Richard Thorpe was brought in to direct the retakes and this appears to be his shooting script. Also enclosed is a printed press campaign booklet (8 p.) for the film.

Footage of Charmian London and other dignitaries, including Ronald Reagan, at the premiere of the Sea Wolf film in March 1941 at the Sebastiani Theater in Sonoma, California, and the picnic following at the London Ranch in Glen Ellen (on a 8 mm reel). The footage was filmed by Dr. Carroll B. Andrews. Accompanying the reel is a copy of the Sonoma Index Tribune article about the premiere, 2008 January 18.
