    The collection consists of 1 scrapbook, 1 framed photograph, and 1 service record book from the Marine Service Bureau. The binding on the scrapbook is loose with some materials detached from the pages. The scrapbook contains photographs concerning Fitzpatrick's service in Cuba, Panama, and Nicaragua, as well as friends and family. Also included are several types of correspondence, marriage nuptials, and other ephemera. To note is a Tropical Radio-United Press piece titled "Cressy's History of California" (based on a tourist pamphlet by Will M. Cressy) as well as photographs of the 1931 Managua, Nicaragua earthquake. The framed photograph features Fitzpatrick on the deck of the ship Talamanca, along with other crewmembers. The service record book contains descriptive information about Fitzpatrick and his time as a seaman. Enclosed within the book are 90 Certificates of Discharge dating between 1927 and 1936, and a December 1945 letter from Fitzpatrick's cousin Honora discussing the latest news out of Ireland. Also included is a Seaman's Protection Certificate as well and other ephemera.The materials concern individuals or places associated with Fitzpatrick and his career. Among the primary subjects represented in the collection are Fitzpatrick's service in Cuba, Panama, and Nicaragua. The collection also includes information regarding Fitzpatrick's time as a student at Drury College, club memberships, and his family.

    These are typewritten transcripts, with paper covers; the transcripts were made for Sir Charles Fitzpatrick by Smith & Hulse, Shorthand Reporters, Washington, D.C. HM 82865 (1-2) are transcripts for claims No. 7, 33, 34, 35, 43 (March 11-12); HM 82865 (3-5) are transcripts for the "R.T.Roy" claim No. 17 (March 12-14). HM 82865 (3) also contains 2 pages of autograph notes by Fitzpatrick and 7 typewritten pages of notes on other legal cases.

    Colonial boundary disputes collection

    Manuscripts

    A collection of nine documents concerning the "New Hampshire Grants" assembled by John Adams for his report on the boundary disputes commissioned by the Massachusetts General Court on March 1774. Included are copies of the act of the Privy Council settling the dispute between Samuel Waldo and David Dunbar (approximately 1735) and the Instruction of George II to Benning Wentworth (approximately 1740); also present is a letter to the editor of The New Hampshire Gazette responding to "the political piece in your Gazette of 5th Current upon the subject of the aggrieved and injured settlers of the towns granted by your Governor to the west of the Connecticut river." Some items are in John Adams's hand, including copies of documents endorsed as "Charles Phelps's State of his Case" and "New York Claim."

    Manuscripts

    A collection of leaves from an unidentified missal, books of hours, and antiphonal; also modern ephemera. HM 82933 (1) leaves from a missal written for Chichester Cathedral, with decorated initials and possibly Flemish illuminated borders. The five leaves are bound into a volume with black Morocco binding and two ribbons laid in; with the bookplate of Edward J. Loftus pasted onto first page.
