The letter reads as follows: "I am very glad to see your hand again, and perhaps I can best answer your inquiry by enclosing you a copy of a report from the Administrative Assistant in the National Museum, in reference to the feathered cloak. If you wish anything more done through the Museum, let me know, though I rather think you would do quite as well with private parties. Very sincerely yours, S. P. Langley."

He expresses, "...I sincerely hope you may see your way clear to stay with us. We can certainly give you better facilities for research than you could get elsewhere, and you may also count on an adequate increase in salary." This letter was written in Florence, Italy.

Thomas M. (Thomas MacCurdy) Vincent letter to General Charles Albright

The letter, written from the Adjutant General's Office, and addressed to General and US Representative Charles Albright, reads "My dear General: Thanks, from us all, for your telegram of this date. We appreciate, and will remember your kind interest and attention. I trust that Mrs. Albright and your daughter will accompany you to the President's tonight to see the King. Yours Sincerely, Thomas M. Vincent." Vincent is referring to King Kalakaua of Hawaii's visit to President Ulysses S. Grant.

Joseph Springer to Joseph Maus: warrant to collect debt of Thomson Dorrell

This is a warrant from 1823, April 8, by Joseph Springer, Justice of the Peace for Centre Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, to collect debt from or arrest Thomson Dorrell. It is written to Joseph Maus, Constable of Columbiana County. On verso it states that the debt was paid in full in July. The debt was owed to George Endly.
