A collection of miscellaneous documents and letters concerning Parliament and the New Model Army. The collection includes: a Parliamentary document addressed to a committee in Bedfordshire regarding the administration of collecting men and money for the Army (HM 82611); a receipt for provisions of coats, etc., for the pressed men in Reading (HM 82612); a letter from Oliver [Leeks?] to Noble Sir (HM 82613); instructions for impressing men for the Army for Sir Thomas Fairfax; and a copy of Charles I's 1626 speech to Parliament, followed by a speech of the Lord Keeper (HM 82615).

This is a 19th century copy of Sir North's diary of a journey he took to Rome in 1555 as an ambassador of England to Pope Julius III. Accompanying him on his journey was Thomas Thirlby, Bishop of Ely and Anthony Browne, 1st Viscount Montagu. With manuscript note inserted.
