    A series of letters written by Sarah Jennings Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, to Mr. Waller of Lincoln's Inn Fields. The letters concern legal, financial, and estate matters.     The collection is composed of correspondence and literary manuscripts of Anglo-Irish author Elizabeth Bowen. All the manuscripts and over one hundred letters in the collection were penned by Bowen. The correspondence concerns publishing arrangements for Bowen's works in progress during the years 1944-1946, discussions of her writing and the writing of other authors, and references to her wartime writing for the British Council and other agencies. Correspondents include the British Broadcasting Corporation, Jonathan Cape Ltd., the Cresset Press, Cecil Day Lewis, the Fontaine, the British Council, Great Britain's Control Office for Germany and Austria, Graham Greene, John Hayward, Alfred A. Knopf Inc., John Lehmann, the Listener, Longmans, Green and Company, Ltd., the Opus Press, Victor Sawdon Pritchett, Emile Victor Rieu, Rolfe Arnold Scott-James, and Vogue.     This collection contains 59 pieces of correspondence and poems of American poet Robert Frost, chiefly consisting of handwritten poems and letters sent by Frost to Susan Hayes Ward (1835-1916), poetry editor for The Independent, from the mid 1890s to the 1910s. Items consist of: thirty letters from Robert Frost to Susan Hayes Ward (HM 7656, HM 25338-25366); eighteen loose poems signed by Robert Frost (HM 7638-7646, HM 7648-7655, HM 7657); two poems whose authorship was repudiated by Frost; apparently in the hand of Elinor M.
