Pereira, is a translation and analysis of the Latin manuscript, written in 1665 by the Dutch astronomer and physicist Christiaan Huygens, concerning mutual space-time synchronization. This paper was submitted to the Proceedings of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in 1991.

Manuscript map drawn by Charles Rivez, apparently copied from an earlier map. Drawn up for use in the French and Indian War. Locates Indian Town, with quarries, coal mine and the French shipyard. Shows the soundings of Spanish Bay and free deposits of coal and stone. Ink and wash, with outline in red.

Murphy's translation of the work by Nicolas Cornelis Lambrechtsen Korte beschrijving van de ontdekking en der verdere lotgevallen van Nieuw-Nederland : weleer eene volkplanting van het gemeenebest der Vereenigde Nederlanden in America ( Middelburg : bij S. Van Benthem ., 1818). According to the note at the end of the manuscript, Murphy finished "this translation November 29, 1840. It has been made without any knowledge whatever of the language and the Dictionary alone being my Assistant. My first attempt upon the Dutch language & necessarily imperfect."
