    The manuscript diary signed twice by Esteban José Martínez, the officer commanding the expedition to San Lorenzo de Nuca, which he undertook by order of the Viceroy of New Spain. This manuscript diary was written from his own rough notes jotted down during his voyage, as he states at the end of this manuscript. Text in Spanish. Included is a vocabulary in the Hawaiian language.

    Derrotero by José Manuel de Moraleda y Montero

    These three documents describe the frigate Santa Gertrudis' voyage from the Port of Callao (Lima, Peru) to Acapulco, Mexico and back. The first document is a 1-page introduction to the following two, dated October 30, 1791, in Acapulco. The second document is a 4-page report by Alonso de Torres y Guerra, the commander of the Santa Gertrudis, to Antonio Valdes, a Spanish naval officer. It summarizes the journey's events, including the assistance provided to an English ship, descriptions of the Galapagos Islands, as well as commentary on Alejandro Malaspina's navigation charts and Juan Francisco de Bodega y Quadra's upcoming expedition to Nootka Island, Canada. And the third document is a 35-page derrotero, or route journal, written by José Manuel de Moraleda y Montero during the round trip from the Port of Callao to Acapulco, detailing landmarks, anchorages, climate, and other nautical and navigational information.

    José Matías Moreno titulo de San Vicente

    Three documents sewn together (all in Spanish). The first being the handwritten manuscript entitling José Matías Moreno with the "Establecimiento a San Vicente." The other two documents also relate to José Matías Moreno and San Vicente. Two of the documents are signed by Pío Pico. The third document was written and signed by La Frontera Mayor Tomas Bona. Watermarked "GIOR MAGNANI" with scrollwork, bird above tower and countermarked "ALMASSO" and "GUISE POLLERI" with scrollwork and tower.
