Young writes of his approval of Wyoming as an "outfitting point on the Missouri," that Joseph has been "much blessed in [his] railroad contract," of his own trip to Ogden and plans for future travels throughout Utah, a visit to his cotton and woolen factory, and that "Uncle Sam's prospectors on the Bench" are in the mountains looking for gold and silver.
