The manuscripts include two complete copies of Pflueger's book New paradise lost as well as draft pages and notes for the novel. There are also papers and essays written by Helen in high school and later in life as well as copies of writings and poems by Helen and others. The diaries span the years 1911 to 1979. The diaries include daily entries with detailed information about Helens' daily activities: visits to friends, seamstress work, trips taken, etc. She also talks a lot about her religious beliefs and her struggles to be a good Christian. The majority of correspondence is written by others to Helen but there are a few pieces of correspondence by her (retained copies). There are several letters to and from Rev. Gilbert P. Symons of the Forward Movement of the Episcopal Church and others dealing with her religious beliefs and search for a church to attend. There is also one letter by Edgar Bergen (1941, Apr. 15) in response to a letter Helen wrote to him and "Charlie." There are also a few letters regarding her book New paradise lost (1940). The ephemera includes a variety of material including account books, address books, bank statements, biographical information, financial papers, medical papers, calling cards, church bulletins, dress patterns, family estate papers (including a copy of Helen's will), greeting cards, newspaper clippings, photographs, school notebooks and a recipe book. Some of the newspaper clippings deal with Sierra Madre, California. There are also three rolled items: two diplomas from the Minneapolis School of Music (1919-1920) and a painting of Helen Pflueger.

This collection contains the records of the Pasadena Playhouse, a community theater established in Pasadena, California, in 1917. Materials consist primarily of theater programs, scrapbooks, business records, correspondence, clippings, scripts, school catalogues, brochures and ephemera, indexes, photographs, original drawings of set and costume designs, and research materials originally housed in the organization's library. The materials document the performance history of the various theaters of the Playhouse and also contain partial administrative records and school records, with particular strength in coverage for the "Mainstage" theater and an extensive run of programs and performance photographs. The core records are strengthened by the complementary personal paper collections of directors, performers, and others associated with the Playhouse.

The collection consists of Elizabeth Jane Howard's manuscripts, correspondence, photographs and ephemera. The manuscripts cover the entire span of her writing career and include her major novels, as well as articles, essays, plays, short stories, book reviews, and interviews. In some cases there are multiple drafts of a work, enabling a researcher to trace Howard's creative process. The correspondence includes personal letters and letters related to Howard's work. The collection holds over 800 photographs and seven boxes of printed ephemera.

Correspondence and other papers of Warren Lee Rogers and Clinton Clarke dealing with the Pacific Crest Trail. Included are Clarke's publications, the Y-Relays correspondence, photographs, radio scripts, participants' surveys and transcribed portions of the log book; the PCT registers and hikers' correspondence, maps, visitor guides and brochures of national forests and parks in Washington, Oregon, California and elsewhere. Correspondents include Ansel Adams, Hanson W. Baldwin, Devereux Butcher, Oscar L. Chapman, Ernest A. Dench, Newton Bishop Drury, Roland C. Geist, Francis P. Farquar.
