"Th' Ecclesticall Discipline as it hath been used synce the Church was reformed by the ministers elders and deacons of the Isles of Guerneze, Jerze, Serch and Alderny established by authority and in the presence of the honorable Gouernors of the said Islands at the Synode holden at Guerneze the 28th of June 1576 et synce examined by the said Ministers & Elders et confirmed by the said honorable Gouernors at the Synode holden at Guerneze the 11th, 12, 15, 14, 15 & 17th dayes of October in the yeare 1597."
