A collection of 49 commercial photographs with views of Egyptian monuments, ruins, people, and mummies. The photographs mostly show ancient Egyptian temples, pyramids, and other monuments, and were taken in Cairo, Memphis, Abydos, Dendera, Saqqara, Karnak, and Thebes. The set includes four photographs by Emile Brugsch of the mummies of Seti I and Ramesses II. 18 of the photographs were published by the Zangaki Brothers, 3 by G. Sarolides, and 1 each by M. Iranian and Antonio Beato.

One set of art appreciation posters created by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 1926. The set of 55 posters is housed within 5 large envelopes; there are 23 different posters, with duplicate copies of 9 of the 23. All of the posters contain black and white reproductions of photographs. Accompanying the posters within the first folder is a large piece of brown wrapping paper on which is written in ms.: "Mabel Spofford; from Boston Museum of Fine Arts, received April 7. 1956 art appreciation posters." The posters vary in size, but all are large. What follows is a listing of the contents of each envelope; the title at the top of the poster has been transcribed. Series I. Nile Reservoirs works at Aswan

This series contains four albums with photographs documenting the construction of the first dam built at Aswan, between 1899 and 1903, as well as the barrage built downstream at Asyut (Assuit) between 1899 and 1903, and subsequent improvements made to the dam and repairs to the temples at Philae between 1903 and 1906. The photographs in Album 4 were removed from their bindings prior to arrival at The Huntington.
