Provenance: Purchased from Maggs Bros. Ltd., April 2023. Extra-illustrated by Boston bookseller Charles Goodspeed (1867-1950). Goodspeed also extra-illustrated a copy of the Praeterita (see call number 642163) and both titles are bound as a set. Original wrappers and title pages as issued are bound at end. Manuscript material bound in includes correspondence with Henry Jowett, J.M.W. Turner. The set was later owned by John Winant (1889-1947)
