- Purchased from Maggs Bros. Ltd., April 2023. Extra-illustrated to 5 volumes by Boston bookseller Charles Goodspeed (1867-1950). Goodspeed also extra-illustrated a copy of the Dilecta (see call number 642163a) and the two titles are bound as a set. Original wrappers and title pages as issued are bound in each volume. Extra-illustrated throughout with printed and manuscript material including correspondence with J.M.W. Turner, William Michael by Rossetti, Robert Browning, and Thomas Carlyle. Most of the inserted mss materials are from Ruskin. The set was later owned by John Winant (1889-1947)
