Wargrave Theatre ticket to a masked ball 8 January 1790

Description
Engraved ticket for a masked ball to be held at Wargrave on Friday 8 January 1790. The invitation is printed in red ink and the text is enclosed in a decorative oval frame topped by Barrymore's coat of arms and containing several allegorical figures. The ticket is numbered "242", signed by Berrymore and affixed with a wax seal with his arms. The ball followed a theatrical performance with the Prince of Wales in attendance and was presumably a highly sought after invitation.
