"In this volume, Chris Loker, the proprietor of the Children's Book Gallery, an antiquarian children's bookshop in San Francisco, profiles and reflects on the legacies of iconic American children's books, spanning from 1900 to the present day (with the last title being published in 2015). Being co-published with the Book Club of California as well as Godine, this book was inspired by an exhibition with the Grolier Club in 2015 that profiled "One Hundred Books Famous in Children's Literature""--
