One of the letters is addressed to Robert Esnault-Pelterie (HM 78334); the other six are addressed to Helmut Stark (HM 78335-78340). The letters were written from Mediasch, Romania. In the letters, Oberth talks about rocketry, rocket fuel, some of his other work, upcoming conferences, books about rockets, and other engineers. He also refutes rumors about him including that he is of Jewish descent, which he denies; Oberth talks a lot about Jews in Romania and Europe. Subjects include: rocketry, rocket fuel, interplanetary voyages, Max Valier, Rudolf Nebel, Guido von Pirquet, Robert H. Goddard, Eugen Sänger, and I. G. Farbin (Interessengemeinschaft Farbenindustrie Aktiengesellschaft). The letters are written in German and have English translations.
