Manuscripts
Materials related to the San Juan de Taviche Mining Company, including correspondence, mining reports, property deeds, and some photographs. Papers include several property deeds and other legal documents in Spanish dating from the second half of the 19th century. Mining reports and maps are in Spanish and English and include the San Juan de Taviche properties as well as properties near the city of Tepic, Mexico. Photographs depict mining operations but are unidentified. Most of the correspondence is in English and is to or from Adolphe Charlot, his son Leon Charlot, and Robert Wilson, who all worked for the company. Letters primarily describe conditions in Mexico, financial prospects, and potential expansion. There are also a few letters related to family genealogy, and some personal identification documents of Leon Charlot.
