Visual Materials
Image of the monument to the 10th New York Cavalry. The monument is surmounted by a bronze horse head, below which is the seal of the State of New York. Carved into the front of the monument is: 10th New York / Cavalry / 3rd. Brig. / 2nd. DIv. / Cavalry Corps / July 2nd. 1863 3 to 8 P.M. At the base of the monument is the badge for U.S. Calvary Corps. Behind the monument are stacks of corn stalks. Written in white at the side, near the bottom of the image is: 991 Tipton. The photograph has been affixed to a card with the photographer's signature and "Gettysburg, Pa." printed in gold lettering at the bottom.
