Letters and documents relating to a scheme of the East India Company and the British Government to send a commercial, naval and military expedition to the Philippines. Some of the letters and documents are the product of the Committee of Secrecy of the Court of Directors and are written in cipher. The proposed scheme was never carried out as the East India Company forces were needed elsewhere in 1780.
