Orderly book, 1761
Manuscripts
The orderly book was kept by John Grant of Archibald McNeil's company in the 2nd Connecticut Regiment. Kept between June 20 and October 17, 1761, this orderly book pertains to the British occupation of Crown Point, N.Y. Also contains miscellaneous accounts, verses, and memoranda to 1801.

This letter book records correspondence sent out in 1827 and 1828 by the chairman of the Board of Stamps, Lt. Col. Hon. James Henry Keith Stewart. Stewart appears to have been a competent chairman and the numerous letters here, with useful index of recipients, contain much detail relating to such matters as the organization of stamp duties in Scotland and Ireland, forward estimations of annual stamp revenue, licensing arrangements for sellers of different products subject to stamp duty, the distribution offices for stamps and appointment of officials.

The plans for the decks show passenger accommodations, including steerage, along with public spaces, such as the dining saloon, social room and smoking room. Measurements for the vessels are printed beneath the title. Sheet is possibly a transfer paper or an internegative used to make multiple copies. "Case No. 406 Sheet No. 7753s"--stamp, in brown ink, with numbers in ms. in black ink; stamp is not in reverse. "Feb. 26-1906"--lower left corner in reverse. "Johannot et Cie. Annonay Radiant Parchment"--watermark. Focus of item: Korea ; Siberia.
