Education and Visitor Center, Roger's Classroom and Virginia Steele Scott Galleries of American Art
See how engagement strategies for environmental education can be integrated into subjects such as art, math, history, ELA, and socio-emotional learning. In the morning session, learn the different types of clouds and ways you can incorporate cloud journaling into your curricula before heading to the galleries to discover how artists have represented clouds in their works. After lunch, LACOE will demonstrate ways to incorporate Environmental Principles and Concepts (EP&Cs) into daily instructions. Participants will engage in cloud-related activities that can be replicated in the classroom, learn strategies to support content acquisition across multiple disciplines, and collaborate with peers to build a network of environmental educators.
