- Two portraits of husband and wife, each half-length and set against dark background; he wears a black turnover coat with large brass buttons, underneath the outer coat, he wears a green patterned waistcoat. She wears a blue dress with a white lace shawl; she wears an impressive bonnet with a wide blue ribbon
