One of seven drawings apparently among a group of supposed Blake drawings offered in Rosenbach's catalogue 18 of 1916, item 17, with Blake's "Comus" illustrations. The earlier history of these drawings is not known. The group acquired from Rosenbach may have also included Blake's "The Six-Footed Serpent Attacking Agnolo Brunelleschi".
