The Morris & Co. firm continuously reissued patterns designed by William Morris well into the 20th century, sometimes altering them to suit changing tastes. This is an example of a later printing of his 1884 pattern Loddon. In this colorway, the Firm has lightened the original palette to include pale yellows and greens.
