Haight is love : summer is a love in-here

A color offset lithograph announcing the Summer of Love movement held in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. In psychedelic font, the text reads, "Haight is love: summer is a love-in here." Most of the text is in a bold green color set against a red-and-orange background. The word "love" is overlaid in black-and-white with details from Jost Amman's woodcut, "Quibus eo sane, Ordine Doctrina..." (1572). The word "is" in the title is centered by mirroring purple-and-green decorative images of a nude man and woman in an embrace. The bottom left of the print includes the date of copyright and reads, "UFO Posters. 1608 Haight Street. San Francisco, Calif." Bottom right includes an image of the Lithographers and Photoengravers International Union (LPIU) emblem and text that reads "Printed by Double-H Press." Printing and lithographic establishment: Hunckle & Son

A color lithographed trade card promoting Hunckel & Son's services within the printing industry through text and illustrated vignettes. Text on top of the image reads "Printing and Lithographic Establishment," and the central image includes two allegorical figures shaking hands above a banner that reads "Hunckel & Son" in gold, with George and Otto Hunckel's signatures below. The center of the card is embossed with the United States seal, and the card is bordered with putti representing the branches of art and science such as lithography, engraving, typography, and photography. The bottom of the card reads "The blessings of the graphic sciences over all the nations of the world," and includes stylistic representations of men in different cultural attire. The border edges of the card are printed in gold.

Questions of measuring, calculation and a weather rope

The volume is a compendium on measuring and calculation, with a final section on a "weather rope;" this is a type of hygrometer, whose use is apparently not described in Britain in other sources, which was first described by Santorio in 1612. The volume is bound with thread in paper covers; with some damage and staining to covers. Facing title page is written: "Thomas Turner / huius libri possesor / est : Anno Domini 1701."
