An eight-panel folded brochure promoting travel on the Dollar Steamship Line and American Mail Line from Japan to Hawaii, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Victoria. Text and tables with travel fares also describe rates for travel from Japan to Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Manila. While folded, the cover page of the brochure features a black-and-white printed illustration of the front of a steamship with a cityscape in the background. Japanese text printed in red and black ink promotes the title of the ship company and advertises the speed and routes to the destinations. While open, the brochure includes black-and-white photographs and text highlighting amenities and accommodations for Japanese passengers traveling in third-class cabins. Images and text advertise Japanese chefs and menus, heated baths, and washrooms, and depict people on deck chairs and posed with family. Photographs on other pages include an image of a company ship with a Dollar sign symbol, and various interior shots of people dining and at leisure. Approximate date based on company's history of acquiring the American Line in 1925.

    Tourist brochure featuring a town plan of Honolulu. Town plan is bordered by photographic illustrations showing the attractions each with accompanying text in Japanese and English. Advertisements, some illustrated, on reverse. All other text in Japanese only. Published by the Aala Automotive Union which operated sightseeing tours around 1930. This brochure was often issued along with a sample itinerary "Aara Jidōsha Kumiai" to Japanese passengers upon arrival to Honolulu.
