    Series I. Nile Reservoirs works at Aswan

    This series contains four albums with photographs documenting the construction of the first dam built at Aswan, between 1899 and 1903, as well as the barrage built downstream at Asyut (Assuit) between 1899 and 1903, and subsequent improvements made to the dam and repairs to the temples at Philae between 1903 and 1906. The photographs in Album 4 were removed from their bindings prior to arrival at The Huntington.
