    These three houses were of fairly good construction. The one on the right, having a cement floor, tight roof and side walls, and a good door with glass. All of these houses on the Glendale dump were destroyed, and the occupants forced to move.

    Workman Mill Road and Union Pacific Railroad. Group of one-room shacks in gum grove, east of Workman Mill Road. Note general cleanliness of ditch and fly-proof privy erected at this end of camp. Toilet facilities were provided through the effort of the Chief District Sanitary Inspector of the Whittier Districts.
