85th and Lou Dillon Street -About 45 families settled on a 5 acre tract under auspices of one of the churches. This place was known as Hoover Town. Some of the families were receiving aid from the County Welfare Department, but others were being fed by the agency in charge when help was needed. [Photo shows hand-painted sign with words Hoover Town"]

Muscatel Avenue and Huntington Drive -9 shacks were located on a plot of ground consisting of 4 acres. Each shack being inhabited by one or two unemployed men. No families were found on this location.
