A collection of 19 photographs by I.W. Taber showing views of California, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Yosemite, and the San Gabriel Valley. Some of the photographs show street scenes, others are focused on hotels, mountains, missions, vineyards, orange groves, and mountains. Eighteen of the photographs are by I. W. Taber, with the remaining one image by H. E. Mathews and published by Taber (Item 10).

A collection of 71 photographs with views of California, including the cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara, and lanscapes in Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Grove, and Sunny Slope Winery in San Gabriel. The photographs of San Francisco show hotels, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, and the homes of people like Governor Stanford, Mrs. Mark Hopkins, Charles Crocker, and J.C. Flood. Views of the Yosemite Valley show numerous waterfalls and rock formations such as El Capitan and Half Dome. All of the images except one are photographs by I. W. Taber; one image is a reproduction of an illustrations of a wagon drawn by six horses racing along a cliff, signed E.A. Rockwell and dated 1876 (Item 10).

Bound in textured black material. The title, "Earthquake / California Scenes," is embossed in the center of the cover in gold lettering. Photos on pages 1-53 are of the damage wrought by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, taken by Jack London. Photos on following pages are of Sonoma County and surrounding areas including Yosemite and the San Francisco bay.

An album with 58 commercial photographs of various scenic locations in the American West and New York, chiefly containing 1-2 images per page. Locations consist of: Colorado (pages 1-8); Utah (pages 9-11); California including Lake Tahoe (page 12), San Francisco including Chinatown (page 13); Oakland (page 14), Berkeley (page 15), the Hotel Del Monte in Monterey, California (page 16); Geyser Canyon in Sonoma County (page 17), Yosemite (pages 19-27), and Mariposa Grove (pages 28-29); the mountains of Mount Shasta and Mount Tacoma (page 30) and Mount Hood (page 31); Yellowstone (pages 32-40); and Mohonk Lake, New York (pages 41-46). Views of Yosemite show El Capitan, Cathedral Spires, Royal Arches, Mirror Lake, Bridal Veil Falls, Vernal Falls, Nevada Falls, and Glacier Point. Views of Yellowstone show Mammoth Springs Hotel, Minerva Terrace, Golden Gate Canyon, Obsidian Cliffs, Hell's Half Acre, Morning Glory Spring, Old Faithful, Splendid Geyser, Sulphur Mountain, Lower Falls, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon Hotel. Views in Colorado include Manitou Springs, the Garden of the Gods, Denver, Georgetown, Curecanti Needle, and the Royal Gorge of the Arkansas. Most of the Utah photographs are the work of C. R. Savage, some of the Colorado photographs are by William Henry Jackson, some of the Yellowstone photographs are by F. Jay Haynes, the Oregon photographs are by Isaac Grundy Davidson, the Tahoe Photographs are by R. J. Waters, and most of the rest are by I. W. Taber.

Photographed locales include San Francisco, Yosemite, San Diego and Coronado, Denver, and Salt Lake City. 27 photographers are by Isaiah W. Taber of San Francisco; other photographers represented are Maude, Slocum, Reed, W.H. Fletcher, and Johnson. The album compiler is unidentified.

Consists of 33 copy prints with some duplicates. The back of each photograph has a title and a number to a corresponding lantern slide. photPF 190-193 are photographs of prospecting in California, depicting Yreka, Chinese prospectors, and a prospecting party, and appear to be copies of photographs by Eadweard Muybridge. photPF 194-196 photos are views of Ellwood Cooper's Ranch in Santa Barbara County. photPF 197-199 depict scenes of workers and lodgings in Yosemite Valley as well as the studio of artist Albert Bierstadt. photPF 200 depicts the construction of the Bear River Crossing C.P.R.R. photPF 201 depicts trout fishing in Sonoma County. photPF 202-209 focuses on early Los Angeles County, with snapshots of ranches, orchards, vineyards, Los Angeles High School, and the homes of Maria Sepulveda, F. D. Bacon, and F. P. F. Temple. photPF 210-217 depict various locations in early San Francisco, including Telegraph Hill, Alcatraz Island, Goat Island, Woodward's Gardens, and the Mercantile Library. photPF 218-219 feature the Keystone quartz mill and the first quartz mill in Amador City.
