Description: One boxed set of crayons entitled The Falcon Best Crayons with Color Book, High Grade 14 Colors, No. 163 on the front and "The Falcon Best Crayons, Fine Quality, No. 163" on the reverse. The cover of the box shows a young boy using the crayons to draw in the enclosed coloring book. The cardboard box slides open to reveal the small coloring book and the crayons. The book, The Leisure Hour Drawing Book for Instructive Sketching and Coloring Purposes, contains 16 printed images to color. Of the crayons, only 7 remain intact. Others, including two from a different manufacturer, are in pieces.

(16 wax crayons in a flip-top box) Set 11: Crest Light Artists Crayon. (crayon pieces in a box with a lid) "Mabel Spofford, 8 Cherry Street, On hand 1914" written in ms., in pencil, on lid. Set 12: Crest Light Artist's Crayons, No. 814 (8 wax crayons in a slipcase box) Set 13: The Artco Pastel, No. 8 (8 wax crayons in a box with lid). The Valesquez Art Crayon: With Art Book for Coloring

One boxed set of colored crayons entitled The Valesquez Art Crayon: with Art Book for Coloring. Under the title is the phrase "pronounced Va - Las -Ki- (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)". The cover image features two children, a boy and a girl, using the crayons. The cardboard box has a flip lid which reveals a tray of crayons and small sheet of printed images. There are a total of eight images on the sheet, which is folded in half. The pictures depict children from around the world. All 16 of the crayons in the set are present and do not appear to have been used. The images have not been filled in.

One box of chalk crayons entitled The Winner Chalk Crayons, No. 890, manufactured by O.N.C. (Our New Crayon), ca. 1900. The box contains 7 pieces of chalk. Printed on the box are seven phrases: "Seven Colors"; "One Penny"; "For Slate and Blackboard Use"; and "We lead them all." The Falcon trademark appears in the center of the front side.

Cracker Jack Painting and Drawing Book for Crayon and Water Color Painting

One boxed painting set entitled Cracker Jack Painting and Drawing Book for Crayon and Water Color Painting, manufactured by Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio, New York and Chicago, copyright 1917. The set is comprised of six small cakes of watercolor paint in wooden tubs, two metal dishes, a paintbrush, a box of 8 (5 are missing) wax crayons, and a painting and drawing book that contains chromolithograph and lithograph images for painting and coloring. Printed at the top of the title on the top lid is "It's an Ullman Coloring Outfit." "The Ullman Mfg. Co., N.Y." is printed at the bottom of the top lid. The drawing/coloring book has been colored in, but not completely. The paints have been used. The painting book bears the copyright date of 1917.

One drawing book entitled The Pleasant Hour Drawing Book, for Instructive Sketching and Coloring Purposes, publisher not given, ca. 1900. This small booklet is comprised of a single folded sheet that is mounted onto the inside back cover of a folded cover. The sheet, unfolded, contains 12 etchings in two rows, one above the other. Of these 12 images, there are only 6 different images. The six pictures on the right-hand side of the sheet are duplicates of those on the left. Some have been colored in with crayons. The paper cover is printed in red and blue. A company(?) logo of a bird in flight within a circle, with the initials "N.T.Y." below it appears in the upper right-hand corner of each of the covers.
