This book is comprised of 8 lithograph plates of images for tracing and drawing, with 8 leaves of tracing paper bound in. The front cover is a chromolithograph image of a boy and a girl in a rowboat. Both are wearing hats, and the little boy is rowing like a gondolier. The back cover is a green and white mesh pattern. The images for tracing are of various types of boats and houses. "81" is printed in the lower left-hand corner of the front cover. None of the images have been traced or copied. "Bertie from Emily Jan. 11-1911" is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper left-hand corner of the title page. "2.50" (price) is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the title page.

The cover title is: Drawing and Tracing Book: Simple Objects. This book is comprised of 8 leaves of lithograph images for coloring and tracing. The sheets of tracing paper have been cut out. The front and back covers are chromolithographs; the front cover bears an image of a little girl in a pink and white dress who is carrying a large pail and several cooking utensils. The back cover is decorated with a floral design, above which are the words: "First lessons in drawing for children, No. 81." The images for tracing and coloring include various fruits, flowers, and household objects. All of the images have been colored in with watercolor paints. "Marion Terry" is written in ms., in pencil, at the top of the title page.

The back cover reads: "First lessons in drawing for children" and has a decorative, floral design below the words. The publisher's statement is in the lower left-hand corner of the front cover: "Copyright 1898, McLoughlin Bros. New York." The images inside the book are the same as those in Box 33, env. 03. These images have been traced in pencil and colored in with crayons. "Helen A. Bailey" is written in ms., in pencil, across the bottom of the front cover.

The cover title is: Drawing and Tracing Book: Funny Animals &c. This book is comprised of 8 leaves of lithograph plates. The sheets of tracing paper appear to have been removed. The front and back covers are chromolithographs; the illustration on the front cover is of a robin, wearing a vest and jacket and tipping his hat. The back cover bears the words "First lessons in drawing for children, No. 81", above a floral decoration. The images for tracing and coloring are whimsical in nature; there are pictures of cats reading and swinging on swings, dancing frogs and a seated pig smoking a pipe. Some of the images have been colored in with watercolor paints.

The publisher's statement is printed in the lower right-hand corner of the front cover: "Copyright 1898, McLoughlin Bros., New York." The back cover reads: "First Lessons in Drawing for Children", with a "No. 81" printed below it. Below these words is a floral decoration. The chromolithograph illustration on the front cover is of a young child, wearing a white cap and a white dress, holding a wooden spoon. The illustrations inside have been painted in with watercolors. "Marion Terry" is written in ms., in crayon, within the book.

One tracing book entitled The Favorite Drawing and Tracing Book, published by Graham & Matlack, New York, ca. 1900. "0201 Tracing Book Series" is printed in the lower right-hand corner of the front cover. This book is comprised of 8 unnumbered plates of black and white images for tracing. Bound in front of each plate is a sheet of tracing paper. The front and back covers are chromolithograph images; the front cover shows two puppies leaning over an easel; the back cover features an oval vignette of two children on a wooden sled. The illustrations for tracing are whimsical in nature; they feature animals dressed in clothing, often doing silly things like riding snails. The insides of the front and back covers are blank. All of the leaves of tracing paper have been used to some extent.
