    The interior of the Gore-Browne dining room, 17 Hamilton Terrace, London. Note in the hand of Edwin Powell Hubble: "Glimpse of dining room at 17 Hamilton Terrace, London NW8 (Robert & Margaret Gore-Browne) 1948". Visible in the photograph are the ornate carved wall panels, the dining room table, ornate upholstered chairs and glassware on the table.

    In the foreground is a table with six chairs around it, on an area rug. Another four chairs are arranged against the wall. The paintings hanging on the wall are all by George Romney: (from left to right) Catherine (Halhead) Burton (1789), Penelope (Rycroft) Lee Acton (1791), and Jeremiah Miles (1780-1783). Above the table is a metal and glass chandelier with electric candles. MS note on verso reads "HEH residence as art gallery: dining room." Stamp on verso reads "Keystone Photo Service, 1231 Olive Street, Los Angeles, Cal." This photograph appeared in Pictorial California and the Pacific in November 1930.

The paintings are, from left to right, George Romney's Catherine (Halhead) Burton (1789), Sir Thomas Lawrence's Emily Anderson: Little red riding hood (circa 1821), and Sir Martin Archer Shee's Frances (Woodis) Borlase, later Frances Grenfell, and Pascoe George Norman Grenfell (circa 1804). MS notes on verso read "HEH residence as art gallery: dining room" and "L.A. Chamber of Commerce."

    A view of the dining room in the west end of the Patton residence in San Marino. There is a heavy, oval-shaped wooden table slightly left of center surrounded by four chairs with cushioned seats. Four more matching chairs are lined up against the wall in the background, below a painted portrait of a woman, and in front of a small fireplace. There is a chandelier hanging over the table, a screen decorated with a peacock on the right, and a heavy wooden sideboard on the left.
