An oversize framed panoramic photograph of giant sequoia trees in Mariposa Grove, Yosemite Valley, California. In original heavy oak frame, approximately 12 feet long. H. C. Tibbitts was a photographer for the Southern Pacific Railroad; the photograph was probably hanging in railroad offices or in a local railroad depot.

Image is of a giant redwood tree in the center with lesser tress in the background. There are several people standing in the foreground and some people are standing on a large redwood stump. The text on either side of the image describes Mammoth Tree Grove of Calaveras County. Baird notes that this image is closely related to Hutchings' issue (Baird #106). "Fishbourne's Lithog. Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1855, by D. A. Plecker, in the Clerks' Office of the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
