Big Creek, Shaver Lake Dam - Warning sign "A large number of these [Flood Warning Signs] have been posted along the South Fork of the San Joaquin River between Florence Lake and Lower Hot Springs, with one sign having been posted at Mono Crossing. A number of signs with same wording have also been posted in the creek channel between Camp 73, and flood line of Shaver Reservoir.

Big Creek, Shaver Lake Dam - View of Shaver Dam, showing particularly Section 18, which was left low when work was stopped late in 1926 and to allow for spillway. This section is now being brought up along with the others but will be kept four feet lower for a while. The track running up along the face of the dam lengthwise of the picture is the one over which concrete will be supplied to one of the towers not shown in the picture and which tower will be out of reach of the chuting system. .
