This photograph depicts the 9th Street Produce Market as vendors unload wooden cartons filled with produce from their automobiles, set up their stalls, and prepare for their customers. There are several visible vending stall signs, such as, (left to right) the Okuhira Produce Company, Eastern Produce Company, So. West Berry Exchange, Lecheler Produce Company, J. and Q. Produce Company, Shapiro Produce Company, and Mutual Produce Company. There is also a restaurant, Market Restaurant (on the right side of Okuhira Produce Company), an association group, L.A. Asparagus Growers Association, residential hotel, Hotel Ninth (on the right, behind L.A. Asparagus Growers Association), and the Cohn-Goldwater Factory Building with the sign: "Boss Overall Factory" (center, background).
