  Microfilm of a diary and genealogical and family record kept by May Hunt Larson. The diary, identified as Journal No.2, was kept at Snowflake, Arizona, from 1897-1907. In it May records her daily activities, her attendance of church and suffrage meetings, and news on family members and acquaintances. The second volume, identified as Journal No.1 and dated 1894, contains a detailed family history and genealogy. The family history includes a detailed memoir covering the years 1866-1896. It also includes a history of Jefferson Hunt, with references to his service in the Nauvoo Legion and Mormon Battalion, as well as copied biographies of various family members including John Hunt, Happylona Sanford Hunt, Sarah Jane Crosby Hunt, Belle Hunt Flake, Mons Larson, and Louisa Barnes Pratt. The genealogy in the volume goes through 1942.

  Auotobiography and diary of James Pace [microform] : 1832-1888

  Microfilm of a typescript of James Pace's autobiography and diary, made from the original by Brigham Young University in 1946.The autobiography covers Pace's early life in Tennessee, his move to Illinois in 1832, his baptism into the Mormon Chuch, the births of his children, serving in the Nauvoo Legion and Nauvoo police department, his mission to Arkansas (1844), fleeing Nauvoo and traveling to Pisgah (1846), joining the Mormon Battalion and marching to California, including references to traveling through Arizona, Nevada, and Idao, passing through Utah on his way back to Winter Quarters (1847), working in Missouri and finally emigrating to Utah in 1850, his mission to England (1852-1855), his being called to Wahsington County (1861), his family's move to Arizona (1882), and added notes on his death in 1888. Also included is Pace's Mormon Battalion diary (1846-1847), which includes references to his enlistment, overland travels, interactions with Mexican villagers, arriving in San Bernardino, rationing and camp life, travel to the "Spanish settlement" in Tucson, trading with Maricopa Indians, difficult travels down the Gila and Colorado Rivers, arrival at Warner's Ranch, travels to San Diego, drunkenness among Mormon soldiers, marching to the Cajon Pass, inspecting the Donner Party valley, traveling through Nevada, and setting course for Salt Lake City.

It also contains proclamations and certificates regarding Stout's elections to the Representative Assembly for the Utah Territory and related events, as well as a family record of births, marriages, and deaths. Part II includes Stout's phonographical chart book and items related to the Nauvoo Legion. Part III includes references to Stout from the Journal History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1838-1889). Part IV consists of family reminiscences of Stout by L. Lee. Includes a detailed index of contents. The reel also contains a printed biography of Stout.

  Microfilm of fifteen letters sent between various members of the Richards family between 1837 and 1896. The reel contains two letters written by Franklin D. Richards to his cousin Edwin D. Peirson, and sent from Kirtland in 1837 and Cincinnati in 1842; a letter from Samuel W. Richards to his parents, dated Manchester, Vermont, 1843; a letter to Samuel from his father Phineas Richards, dated Richmond, Massachusetts, 1843; a letter to Mary Atchison signed E.R.W. (probably her sister Elizabeth Walson), sent from Missouri, and dated 1874 (probably 1847); a letter to Mary H. Richards from Rebecca M. Jones dated 1847; a letter to Franklin and Samuel Richards in Liverpool, probably sent by Nancy Richards Peirson from Richmond, Massachusetts, in 1847; a letter to Samuel Richards from Robert and Elizabeth Walson, dated 1849; two letters to Phineas Richards dated Salt Lake City 1850, and possibly signed William Richards; a letter from Phineas Richards to his wife Wealthy Richards, dated Sanpete Valley, 1850; a letter to Samuel Richards from his sister Sophy, dated New Orleans 1863; a letter to Samuel Richards from John N. Pike, clerk of council in Salt Lake City, dated 1873 (as well as Richards's reply to Pike); and a letter from Samuel Richards to Franklin Richards, dated Brooklyn, New York, 1896.

  A sketch of Silas Harris's life, as written by himself [microform]: c.1880

  Microfilm of a typescript of Silas Harris' autobiography, written in about 1880 and completed by his daughter Sarah F. Cutler sometime after Silas' death in 1897. In the autobiography Silas writes very briefly of his childhood and conversion to Mormonism, his experiences in the Mormon Battalion, his overland travels back to Council Bluffs from California, his return to Utah, his mission work, and notes on his children. The final few paragraphs were written by his daughter Sarah, and contain reminiscences of her father.
