True it is· that after the noble [and] experte doctryne . The last leaf contains William Caxton's device, and on the verso a copy of the title-page cut. Chancery folio, with paper measuring 30.9 x 21.2 cm. Text in two columns. Woodcut initials. Signatures: A⁶ B⁸ b⁶ c-z⁸ [et]⁶ [con]⁸ A-V⁸ X-Z⁶ 2a-2c⁸ 2d-2g⁶ 2h-2m⁸ 2n⁴ 2o⁶. Huntington Library copy has gathering A inlaid. Imperfect: leaf A1 (blank) lacking; leaves 2o4-2o6 repaired at inner margin. Illustrations: 18 large woodcuts, 13 within double-line borders (including 1 repeat and 1 cut composed of six small sections) and 5 within single-line borders (including arms of Castile and Aragon on title page, measuring 154 x 136 mm), and 6 small woodcut diagrams. The 17 cuts in the text, prefixed to books 2-17 and 19, are on leaves a6, c1, d6, e8, k2, l6, o6, C2, D3, D6, E5, F8, G8 (repeated from D3), I1, L4, M8 and 2m5.
