Description: Contains 21 full-page illustrations depicting the astrological significance of the palm; woodcuts from Ratdolt's undated Venetian edition. Printed on Chancery paper, measuring 20.8 x 13.9 cm; 35 lines to a full page; area of text: 15.7 x 9.7 cm. Includes ornamental woodcut initials. First four leaves of first two gatherings and first five leaves of last gathering are foliated sequentially from 1 to 13. Rubrication in red and woodcut initials hand-colored in red on first page only. Ms. foliation on upper right hand "49"-"74". Binding: modern stiff vellum; contemporary limp vellum wrapper bound in.

Largely based on Heinrich Steinhöwel's treatise on the plague, first printed in Ulm in 1473. Entire passages are copied verbatim. Printed on Chancery-size paper, measuring 28.8 x 20.4 cm. In double columns with 42 lines and headline to a full page; col. width: 6.5 cm.; area of text: 20.6 (21.6) x 13.7 cm. With many ornamental printed initials, some initial spaces with guide-letters, and printed fists in margins; without catchwords. Includes 23 woodcut illustrations (many repeated) of various sizes, which generally depict doctors in consultation with each other and at patients' bedsides. Cf. Schramm. Signatures: A⁴ B-G⁶.
