"On the recto of the last leaf is the register; and a device wherein (as well as in many other portions of the work) the name of Blastus occurs in the Greek character."--British Library. Printed in red and black. Signatures (in Greek characters): A-L⁸ M¹⁰ N⁸ X⁶ (A1 blank). Initial and border of each new section of text have additional red, green and gold ink flourishes. Woodcut image of Galen in center of top border on leaf A2r hand-colored. Binding: Greek-style bookbinding, probably sewn in the genuine way, i.e. with thread only (unsupported structure); spine is smooth and has a round shape, and is covered with overall textile lining outside of boards. The endbands are in the Greek style, extending onto the boards and sewn into them. Beech boards, with grooves running over corners, with full size reddish brown tanned goatskin cover, tooled in blind all over (frames) with small tools and fillets. Spine tooled in blind with fillets.
