Description: A play which was a Shakespearean hoax written by William Henry Ireland, who had claimed to have been the rightful descendant to one of Shakespeare's plays. In the play, King of the Britons Constantius offers half his crown to his adviser Vortigern.

Three deeds enclosed in box: Shakespeare's Deed of Gift to Ireland, 1604; Shakespeare and Lowine, 1609; Shakespeare's Lease to Fraser, 1611. Each deed is written on vellum, with wax seals, and boxed separately. A note enclosed with the Deed of Gift to Ireland reads: "To substantiate his claim to the ownership of the documents, Ireland forged a Deed of Gift from Shakespeare to a suppositious ancestor, also named William Henry Ireland. This is the Original Forgery."

The Tamer Tam'd

Adaptation from the Jacobean comedy written by John Fletcher first published in 1647. This version was probably altered by Garrick although it is not on any list of works edited by him. The play is a sequel to Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. The gender roles are reversed and it is the husband Petruchio who is 'tamed' by his wife Maria.
