View of the San Marino grounds with Mr. Huntington walking on a path lined with trees and shrubbery. He holds his cane in his right hand, but does not use it. MS note on verso reading "Huntington Library. Path to office & Mr. Huntington, about 1918, path between house and office where library is now." Henry and Collis Huntington standing on a sidewalk in San Francisco with a newspaper boy. Henry has a newspaper under his arm, and Collis is leaning on a cane. MS note attached to verso reads "With Collis in San Francisco, about 1892." Another copy, photCL 285 folder 3 (3), has MS notes on the verso that read "Collis P. Huntington, HEH, and newsboy" and "Metcalf, 1984."

Portrait of Arabella Huntington

A three quarter length studio photographic portrait of Arabella Huntington, who was the second wife of Collis P and Henry E. Huntington. Arabella wears a matching jacket and skirt with ruffles, made of a checked fabric, and she holds a fan in her left hand. Printed at bottom of photo reads "Mora 707 Broadway, N.Y." Mora ran his photography studio between 1870 and 1893. Un-numbered copy in folder HEH 61/2 (2), MS note on verso reads "Arabella from Mrs. Myles De Russy 2833 Park Place Evanston Illinois."

Henry E. Huntington and granddaughter
Visual Materials
One on Henry Huntington's granddaughters sitting on his knee outdoors. MS notes on verso read "Last of Aug 1916", "H.E. Huntington & Mary Brockway Metcalf", and "Metcalf coll. 1984." Identification of the child as Mary Metcalf, born 1909, daughter of Henry's daughter Elizabeth, is not certain. This may also possibly be another granddaughter, Mary Alice Huntington, born 1914, or, Leslie Alice Huntington, born 1916.
