    Manuscripts

    A three quarter length studio photographic portrait of Arabella Huntington, who was the second wife of Collis P and Henry E. Huntington. Arabella wears a matching jacket and skirt with ruffles, made of a checked fabric, and she holds a fan in her left hand. Printed at bottom of photo reads "Mora 707 Broadway, N.Y." Mora ran his photography studio between 1870 and 1893. Un-numbered copy in folder HEH 61/2 (2), MS note on verso reads "Arabella from Mrs. Myles De Russy 2833 Park Place Evanston Illinois."

    Oval, bust-length studio portrait of Collis P. Huntington in profile. He wears a three piece suit with a white shirt and black bow tie. His beard is graying, except for the part at his chin which is almost completely white. Another portrait of Collis which seems to come from the same sitting (HEH 61/1/2 (10)) has an MS note on verso which reads "Sept. 5th 1879."

    A bust-length studio portrait of Margaret S. Hereford Wilson with her body turned very slightly to the left. She is wearing wire-frame glasses, a dark dress decorated with a great deal of lace, a large dark ribbon tied into a bow at her neck, and a dark hat that covers most of her gray hair.
