Collection of 13 photographs by artist and photographer Christine Laptuta. Collection contents: 12 black-and-white, platinum and palladium prints depicting eye-level views of cactus and other plants in the Desert Garden of the Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. The prints were made by contact printing strips of 120 mm film made with a Holga camera. These images are approximately 2.25 x 13 inches and smaller. In addition, there is one very large panoramic print created by digitally scanning the film to create an archival pigment print measuring 19 x 110.5 inches.

Manuscripts
The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens series documents the founding and history of the institution. The series includes early book lists, invoices, and receipts related to Henry E. Huntington's book purchases from various dealers and sales, as well as auction catalogs, some with handwritten notes that may be by Huntington. It also contains scrapbooks documenting Huntington's art purchases, chiefly from Duveen, dating from 1892 to 1946. Materials related to a 1934 to 1935 tax appeal case by the estate of Henry E. Huntington include court proceedings, appraisals of Huntington's land and company assets, and maps. The series also contains several boxes of photocopied newspaper clippings from 1897 to 1949 about Henry E. Huntington and the creation of The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. These clippings highlight some of Huntington's notable purchases and include material related to Arabella Huntington. Additional materials concern Proposition 15, passed in 1930, which exempted The Huntington from paying California property tax. Miscellaneous materials include documents related to Huntington's head gardener, William Hertrich, as well as scrapbooks, ephemera, and business records.
