Maynard L. Parker negatives, photographs, and other material consists of 57,893 black-and-white negatives, color transparencies, black-and-white prints, and color prints; 39 presentation albums; and 17 boxes of office records, 1930-1974. Created primarily by Maynard Parker, the archive documents the residential and non-residential work of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, artists, builders, real estate developers, and clients associated with these fields, foremost among them the magazine House Beautiful. Also included in the collection are photographs taken by other individuals, such as architect Cliff May and Parker's assistant, Charles Yerkes.

Monuments honoring the 16th and 18th Massachusetts Volunteers

Two prints on one mount. The image on the left is of the monument to 16th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. The monument is a tall tapered rectangular monument with a domed top. At the top is the diamond of the Union 3rd Army Corps. Below that is a bronze tablet inscribed: Sixteenth Massachusetts / 1st Brigade 2nd Division 3rd Corps / Army of the Potomac / On this field July 2nd 1863 / 4 Officers and 25 Enlisted men / were killed / To whose memory this monument / is erected by the / Commonwealth of Massachusetts. At the base: 16th Mass. Vols. The image on the right is the monument to the 18th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. The monument is a squat obelisk set in wooded terrain. On the front of the monument is inscribed: 18th / Mass. Vol.s / First Brig. / First Div. / 5th. Corps. / Let us have peace. On the side of the monument is inscribed: Little Round Top / July 3, 1863. Behind the monument to the 18th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment is the back of the monument to the 28th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment.
