    Old shelf number ephJ5-25(2). This map has a submap dated 1804 of the Village of New Amsterdam, now the City of Buffalo. The larger map is harder to date, but since it refers to the "Village" of Buffalo, it probably predates the incorporation of Buffalo into a city in 1832. Submap: Villiage of New Amsterdam 1804.     No old shelf mark. "Supplement to the Kennesaw Route Gazette. Only direct all-rail route to all the principal cities and towns of Texas is via the Lone Star Route -- International & Gt. Northern Railroad." "By taking this Route, via Little Rock and Longview, you avoid a Long and Tedious Journey across the Gulf of Mexico as well as the Dangers of the Sea and Sea Sickness. Only one change of cars from Atlanta to all stations on the line of International & Gt. Northern Railroad. S.M. Miller, General Ticket Agent, Houston, Texas. H.M. Hoxie, General Superintendent, Houston, Texas. Woodward, Tiernan & Hale, Printers, St. Louis." Probably from some time around the formation of the International & Great Northern Railroad in 1874.     No old shelf mark. A later reproduction of this 1635 map bearing coats of arms of Great Britain and Maryland. "This northerne part of Virginia (the limitts wherof extend many degrees farther southwards) is heere inserted for the better description of the entrance into the Bay of Chesapeack." This map was originially published in A relation of Maryland; together, vvith a map of the countrey..., 1635 (see RB 18730). The only published mention of the Litho-Photographic Institute in London is in The journal of the Royal Geographic Society of London, volume 38, May 11, 1868, page 190.
