Harbor City "The Hub of the Industrial Zone" close to Los Angeles Harbor
Visual Materials
Old shelf number: eph J3-4(13). Harbor City is noted as a residential area for port workers and that the port use will double or treble with the opening of the Panama Canal (1914). Based on Los Angeles directories of the time, W.I. Hollingsworth & Co. only operated at 609 S. Hill St. from 1911 to 1913. Somewhat difficult to place since most of the street names have changed, and the numbered streets have been incorporated into the Los Angeles numbering scheme. Best guess, Governor Avenue is now Western Avenue, and Weston Street is now Lomita Blvd. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: no. Graphic Scale: Feet. Projection: Plane. Printing Process: Lithography. Verso Text: Ms note: Eph J3-4(13).
