Map of Crescenta Canada : townsite and acre property / located and subdivided by Dr. B.B. Briggs
Visual Materials
Old shelf number: eph J5-15(1). A strange way of plotting lots. The streets shown on an angle actually run north-south. Michigan Avenue is now Foothill Blvd. and runs parallel to the mountains. Lots are mostly trapezoidal rather than rectangular. The La Crescenta Hotel was first built in 1890 (Lawler, page 34), and Dr. Briggs died in 1893 (Lawler, page 16), hence the approximate dates. Vignette: Crescenta Hotel. Submap: Beach's Addition to Crescenta. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: hachures. Graphic Scale: Feet. Projection: Plane. Printing Process: Lithography. References: La Crescenta, Mike Lawler, 2005. Verso Text: MS note: Eph J5-15(1).
