Manuscript map depicts layout of Fort "Lyttleton" [more commonly spelled "Lyttelton"] in Port Royal, South Carolina, showing the outline plan of the fort. Lines are drawn in red and black. An inset shows the canon elevations, with bar scale given as 2.75 inches = 40 feet (1:175). Signed: "Em. Hess, Lieut. in the Royal American Regiment".

A manuscript map showing Fort Cumberland, New Brunswick (formerly Fort Beauséjour). Copy by Charles Rivez; the "Explanation" is in another hand. The map shows the profile of the fortifications for several sections. Kashnor attributes the original to Richard Gridley.

Manuscript map showing the fortifications of Schenectady shortly after Montcalm had captured and destroyed Oswego. A small fort is depicted to the Northwest and there are stockades around the town with blockhouses, bastions and gates. Shown with red and brown wash. The King's road is shown coming from the south gate, and the road to Albany coming from the south east gate. The defense of Schenectady was a top priority in the fall of 1756.

Manuscript map showing the Hudson River from its lowest point at Norman's Kill, just below Albany, to Lake George. Fort William Henry is shown but not named, indicating that the map was drawn after August 1757 when the fort was surrendered to French troops and destroyed.

Manuscript map done by Charles Rivez, approximately 1756. Depicts the roads and water routes from New York up the Hudson to Fort Edward and beyond to Wood Creek, and Lake Ontario to the west. The roads depicted here were used by Shirley in his march from Albany to Oswego during his attempt to attack Niagra, and those used by Sir William Johnson on his way to Lake George.
