    This collection contains 24 albumen photographs by Charles Granville Johnson of Arizona river steamboats and shipyards on the Colorado River and Native Americans, pasted on three boards, each titled "The Arizonian, : Views of Arizona and the Colorado River." The photographs are arranged 8 to a board and primarily juxtapose 4.5 x 7 inch views of river steamboats and shipyards with 2.5 x 3.5 inch portraits of Native Americans of various Arizona tribes in traditional dress. Each photograph has its own handwritten caption within a printed frame; the title and image frames are lithographed.

    Colorado River views

    The B.D. Jackson Collection of Negatives and Photographs consists of 804 4 x 5 in. and 8 x 10 in. glass plate negatives, 1782 film negatives (including stereo negatives), 2302 black and white photographs (including stereos, postcards, and photograph albums), and related manuscript and ephemeral materials, 1903-1950s (bulk 1920s-1930s), that provide a visual history of the growth of many of the San Gabriel Valley's suburban communities, a survey of many of California's (and the western United States') notable landscapes, and an overview of Jackson's career as a landscape and scenic view photographer.

    One book of original drawings entitled Drawings, composed by R.T. Fish, ca. 1880? The book is 8 leaves in length, and contains 4 original pencil drawings. The book is bound in a printed, paper binding, and is composed of blank leaves, each with a guardsheet for original drawings. The title on the front cover is surrounded by two decorative frames. The pencil drawings themselves are two floral scenes, 1 landscape and 1 image of a house within a pastoral setting. None of the drawings are signed, but "R.T. Fish" is written in ms., in pencil, on the front cover.
